“Many of my efforts are focused on helping young people within the family relationship. My goal is to help them open up and talk to their peers and adults. I want give them ways to express their thoughts and feelings effectively. I am a firm believer that the strength and courage for change comes from within.
Most kids will not ask for help and many parents see it as a personal failure if they take their children to a counselor. There can be nothing further from the truth. It is a sign of maturity and strength to be willing to acknowledge that as parent you do not have all of the answers and to seek professional help, whether for your child or yourself.
I use a wide range of therapeutic techniques, uniquely tailored to meet the needs of each individual, child, adolescent, or family, who engages in counseling with me. Every individual I have worked with has given me a sense of reward. I am honored that people have shared their lives with me.”
Dr. Cubala has an acute sense of insight, intuition and intelligence, is a certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. He has his Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology/Argosy University in Chicago.
